IN SPACE NEWS: The crew of the American Space Shuttle Discovery has prepared the inside of the international space station for its first permanent crew. The astronauts spent Tuesday moving supplies onto the space station and connecting equipment attached to the station during space walks last week. They also tested equipment needed to keep crew members working outside the station from floating away in space. The astronauts are expected to disconnect the shuttle from the space station on Friday. They will return to Earth Sunday.
