THE PERSIAN GULF: Crews have recovered the bodies from the crash of a passenger airplane Wednesday near the coast of Bahrain. All 143 people on the Gulf Airplane died. Their bodies have been taken to Bahrain for identification. Crews also recovered the flight information and voice recorders from the wreckage. Family members of the 65 Egyptians killed in the crash have been flown to Bahrain. Other victims included Palestinians and citizens of Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. The plane was trying to land in Bahrain after a flight from Cairo.
