THE UNITED STATES: The Defense Department says North Korea plans to give American officials on Saturday what are believed to be the remains of 14 American soldiers. The soldiers have been missing since the Korean War. The remains will be taken to an American army laboratory in the State of Hawaii. Army scientists will study the remains so they can be identified. The Defense Department says this is the largest number of human remains found since a joint American and North Korean team began searching four years ago. More than 8,000 American soldiers are still missing from the Korean War.
